Y13 STUDENTS CELEBRATE THEIR FINAL DAY AT RICHMOND SIXTH FORM COLLEGE

24 May 2024  |  Sven Wardle  |  Posted in: ,

Year 13 students recently enjoyed their final day of Sixth Form in style!

The last day in college marks the end of thirteen years of compulsory education – starting at age 4 or 5 – and is always an emotional milestone for our young people.

Following the tradition we have at Richmond Sixth Form College, the students dug out their old school uniforms and wore them with pride for their final day. The style of wearing their uniforms had much more individual flair than when they were in Year 11, but they certainly enjoyed wearing them!

After lessons had finished, we held a Good Luck assembly which contained heartfelt messages from staff wishing the students well. Of course, we also included some embarrassing photos from Year 7! The weather was kind, so we moved into the Sixth Form Quad for photographs.

We have really enjoyed working with and getting to know our Year 13 students. It is always tinged with sadness when they leave college, but we are still available to help them and guide them through their exams.

We look forward to celebrating after the exams at the Prom on Thursday 27th June.
