Richmond School Trust
The Richmond School Trust was established in the days of the Richmond Grammar School and exists essentially to offer support to students of Richmond School and Richmond Sixth Form College, although ex-students under the age of 25 may be eligible to apply. If the number of requests for funds is high, priority will be given to current students.

Applying For Funding
The invested capital yields approximately £28,000 per annum. A proportion of this can be made available to individual students by direct application and offers financial support for things such as study visits, educational trips and worthwhile gap year projects. Another proportion of the funds is available for school bids for extra resources which cannot come out of school funds. Recent awards include funding for new Music Stand Banners, external providers to enrich History and Health and Social Care lessons, additional Careers support and the establishment of a new Warhammer Club.
Trust meetings are held three times a year (in November, February/March and June) and bids must be received in school three weeks before the meeting, or sooner if possible.
The Trust can, in an emergency, consider requests between meetings, however this has to be the exception rather than the norm. Those who do need to request financial support between meetings should contact the Senior Finance Officer to discuss how this can be achieved.
The number of funding routes for financial support is now varied and need to be taken into account when a bid is made to the Trust, for example the 16-19 Bursary Fund and Pupil Premium funding. Upon receipt, the application will be reviewed to ensure that support has been requested through the correct funding stream, and then passed to the Clerk for inclusion on the Trust agenda.
