International Women in Engineering Day

A great opportunity for Year 11 and 13 students to take part in the Women in Engineering event hosted by the University of Lincoln on Wednesday 23rd June 2021, 1pm until 2.30pm. Book your place at HERE

The afternoon will start with an introduction to event by Professor Libby John who heads up the University of Lincoln’s College of Science, followed by a talk from Professor Mini Saaj. Mini will share her fascinating journey from being a student who loved mathematics, to becoming a professor specialising in space engineering.

Also joining Mini are Shammi Rahman a PhD Student who researches HGVs, Imogen Stevens a Lincoln alumnus who now works at Siemens, Dr Isabel Campelos a Senior Lecturer in Food Manufacturing and finally Roopika Ravikanna a PhD student studying robotics.

The event will finish with a Q&A session where students will have the opportunity to ask the speakers any questions they may have to learn more about studying and working in Engineering.
