ESMÉE CROWNED TEESSIDE SENIOR BALLET CHAMPION – AND OTHER AWARDS! 

We recently received the below information from very proud mum, Linzie, about the fantastic achievements of Esmée Campbell, Year 11 student at Richmond, and an exceptional dancer: 

“I’m thrilled to share with you some amazing recent achievements of my daughter, Esmée. 

This past weekend, Esmée was made Teesside Senior Ballet Champion, at a very prestigious dance championship in Hartlepool. This event attracts some of the best dancers in the North East, and the Senior section consists of dancers aged 14 – 18. 

Esmée, 15, was one of the younger dancers in the section, and after performing her ballet solo three times, through a first round of 30 incredible ballerinas, a semi-final of 12, and the final round of 6 dancers, Esmée was crowned the winner! 

During the previous weekend, Esmée attended a dance class championship, which is a slightly different competition, but equally as prestigious. She was given the title of Senior Commercial Champion, Senior Ballet runner-up Champion, 3rd place in the improvisation and awarded the “Most Promising Senior”. 

She also had the opportunity to learn choreography from some of the best artists in the North East and showcase her fast pick-up skills in a variety of different dance styles.
