Grace was nominated by the Music Department staff who said: “Grace joined us in Year 12 and has been an absolute asset to both the school and music department and demonstrates all the values in everything she does. However, more specifically the determination and independence Grace has displayed through undertaking A-Level Music has been truly phenomenal and has most certainly not gone unnoticed; we quite regularly talk about how A-Level Music is not for the faint hearted, especially for those who are not from a theoretical background and Grace has really taken this in her stride.
Grace’s creativity and determination go far beyond her college commitments and well into the community, she is an avid performer who you will quite often catch performing at the Georgian Theatre or over at the Theatre Royal in York, sometimes we question how she manages to cram this into her weekly schedule and to make it work around college.
To top it off, most recently Grace was nominated for a prestigious NODA award and she proudly announced she had won the Commendation award for her portrayal of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz – what an achievement! She really is a fantastic student who goes above and beyond and is an absolute asset to Richmond School and our music department.”
