Year 7, 8 and 9 students invited to take part in Worcester College’s weekly lockdown challenge

01 February 2021  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

Each week, Worcester College is hosting an exciting challenge that relates to a subject that you can study at university. This week the task is about the Earth Sciences, the study of the planet that we live on. Simply click HERE, follow the on-screen instructions and then complete the online form.

There is also a second challenge which is a careers-related task:

THINKING ABOUT UNIVERSITY … Some of the subjects that you can study at university are the ones that you are already learning about at school. If you enjoy studying English, or Maths, or History at school, you might want to learn more about that subject at university. But at university you can also learn about lots of subjects that you won’t necessarily have the chance to study at school – you can start learning about something completely new! There are some subjects at university that you might not even have heard of. What do you think students learn about when they study…

1. … Anthropology?

2. … Psychology?

3. … Classics?

You can submit your answers on THIS FORM

The first challenge was on ‘linguistics’ and you’ll see that this is still available HERE if you would like to complete the whole series of tasks.
