Year 11 students have developed their bread-making skills by baking and decorating Focaccia bread. Bread making is one of the main practical skills developed in GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition.
Hannah Tucker, Lead Teacher of Technology, said: “Students made the bread dough during one lesson then left it to prove overnight. They then demonstrated excellent knife skills by chopping different vegetables and arranging them neatly on top of the bread dough before baking. The results are certainly show-stoppers! Students enjoyed experimenting with different flavours and developing their decorative skills on their bread designs.
“If anyone is interested in baking the Focaccia bread, the recipe is HERE. Please send any photos to me at htucker@richmondschool.net – we would love to see your efforts!”
