Year 10 PE students enjoy climbing experience
As part of their GCSE PE course, a group of 15 Year 10 students took part in a two-day climbing event at Durham Climbing Centre. Following health and safety briefings, the students received training on the basics of climbing, including the equipment involved and how to approach a climb. Over the two days, the students developed their skills and techniques and were able to tackle more challenging climbs. They thoroughly enjoyed the event which helped with confidence and team building.
Jack Moore, PE Teacher, said: “The students had a fantastic experience at Durham Climbing Centre. For many of them, it was their first time at a climbing wall however they were all very enthusiastic and keen to have a go and it was fantastic to see their skill and confidence grow.”
