Our Year 10 netball team took part in the area netball tournament which was hosted at Queen Mary’s School.
Mrs Southgate, PE Teacher, said: “The girls played brilliantly in cold, foggy conditions. Their teamwork and positive attitude were evident from the start. I was particularly impressed with their resilience, determination and team spirit as they battled through tiredness and cold hands in the last game against a very talented Stokesley side who hadn’t lost a game all day. The girls showed tremendous team spirit and never gave up.”
Richmond came 4th overall, out of 7 teams, and their results were:
~ Beat Queen Mary’s School 6-3
~ Beat Thirsk 5-1
~ Lost to SFX 3-0
~ Lost to Cundall Manor 10-2
~ Lost to Easingwold 8-6
~ Lost to Stokesley 16-2
