WHAT’S NEXT?  We appreciate that it can be challenging to keep young children entertained at the moment, so we are delighted to bring you the first of a series of regular posts about ‘Tried & Tested’ activities that are quick and easy to organise and children will find fun, inspiring and with plenty of variety to keep them engaged. Read on for a recipe for no-flour peanut butter cookies for a quick and tasty treat or create a lego marble run.

Thank you to Mrs Roberts, one of our Modern Foreign Languages teachers, for coming up with this great idea, and for trying out and sharing these activities with her young children and us. The activities are suitable for young children but older siblings will love joining in too!  We look forward to sharing more quick and easy ideas to entertain children of all ages soon.

No-flour peanut butter cookies

200g smooth peanut butter, 1 egg, 100g sugar and 30g chocolate chips (optional). Beat egg and sugar together, then stir in the peanut butter (& chocolate chip) until all thick and combined. Spoon out onto baking parchment (or foil or some flour), gently push down to slightly flatten (or bash if you’re a little person) and bake for about 18 mins on 160 deg.
