Weather was on students’ side for Bronze D of E practice expedition

The day dawned warm and fine for forty-six students to set off on their recent D of E practice expedition. They walked from Richmond School to Marrick Priory, where they pitched their tents for an overnight stay before walking to Reeth the following day. The students put into practice the skills they have been learning, such as first aid, map reading and cooking. All the students completed the expedition and they are looking forward to their assessed weekend at the end of June, when they are keeping their fingers crossed for some more lovely weather!
Huge thanks to Mr Birdsall, Miss Manning, Miss Pemberton and Mr Potter for all their help and support during the weekend.
