THROWBACK THURSDAY – FROM SWALEDALE TO ANTARCTICA
It’s a year today since Dr Thomas Barningham, alumnus and a leading expert in the field of Earth Science, visited us to talk to students about his work for the British Antarctic Survey. Thomas leads the Halley Automation Project at the Halley Research Station, which is an internationally important platform for global earth, atmospheric and space weather observation in a climate-sensitive zone.
We were delighted that Thomas did a Q and A with us after his visit. If you’d like to find out more about Thomas’ work which enables continuous monitoring of the ozone hole over Antarctica and how he went from Swaledale to Antarctica then please click here.
