THEO ENJOYS SUCCESSFUL SUMMER OF TENNIS 

Last year, we published a profile of Theo Webster, then a Year 12 student at Richmond Sixth Form College. Theo told us about the incredibly high standards he has managed to reach in two sports – firstly as a goalkeeper on the football pitch and secondly as a tennis player. 

This summer, as Theo moves into Year 13, he has achieved a string of successes on the tennis courts.  

Theo won the U18 Boys Singles Huddersfield Open and the Tennis World Summer Open at Middlesbrough. His season culminated in him winning the Yorkshire County Singles and the Boys Doubles, with his playing partner Thomas Naylor of Ilkley. He also competed in two national British Men’s Tour events as a professional player – Newcastle and Ilkley and the Boys U18 International Federation (ITF) in Edinburgh.
