Natasha was nominated by Mr Lunn who said: “We are proud, at Richmond School, of our long-standing commitment to the UKMT (The UK Mathematics Trust) challenges. These offer our Gifted and Talented in Maths the opportunity to be stretched and to earn awards at different levels. Each year we have a small number of students progress to follow-on rounds (which are even harder!). Natasha has consistently performed at such a level. Last year, however, was something special: she was invited, as a result of her exceptional achievement, to the 2024 UKMT National Mathematics Summer School. There she worked alongside other exceptionally gifted peers under the tuition of the UKMT experts. Natasha has, over this last year, also enjoyed one-to-one tuition aimed at accelerating the development of her exceptional talent. Natasha has continued her maths studies at Richmond School and this included taking part in the most recent UKMT challenges. Last week we heard that, as a result of further excellent scores, Natasha was being invited back to this year’s UKMT National Mathematics Summer School! It would be difficult to overstate what an example of ‘Excellence’ this is!”
