Terrific Richmond 950 Treasure hunt for students to enjoy
Our students have been given a great opportunity to learn more about their local town by doing the Richmond 950 Treasure Hunt. As part of the celebrations for Richmond’s important milestone, some of the volunteers have put together a really clever quiz to complete. Students are invited to walk around Richmond, looking for numbers at significant places and then record them on their answer sheet. When added together, the numbers magically add up to 950! Students have been asked to see if they can get the subtotals for the columns and there will be prizes awarded to all those who complete it.
The Richmond 950 committee have very kindly donated copies of the treasure hunt and Richmond 950 pencils to the school and these have been given out to Year 7 students and others who are interested through the library.
Sophia Mawer, Lead Teacher for History, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to explore the beautiful town of Richmond. The treasure hunt is a fun idea and will really help students’ understanding and build on the local history that they have been learning in lessons.”
