Students kept on their toes!

22 October 2021  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

Richmond School hosted a training event for Years 5 and 6 playground leaders and lunchtime supervisors. The hugely successful leadership course was led by Skipping School and was attended by 15 local primary schools.

The staff and pupils were taught a range of skipping skills and long rope games so that they can take these ideas back to their own schools, with the aim of making break and lunchtimes more active. This initiative is working towards the government’s aim of encouraging all young people to be active for 60 minutes per day. It was a great fun day, with all pupils and staff leaving exhausted!

Thank you to the following schools for attending: Aiskew, Leeming Bar, Barton, Richmond Methodist, Michael Syddall, Trinity Academy Middleton Tyas, Sacred Heart, Hipswell, Ravensworth, Wavell, Masham, Le Cateau, Bedale, Croft, Bolton-on-Swale. (Unfortunately Trinity Academy Richmond were unable to attend).
