To help remember those who have fought and lost their lives for us, The Station is holding a whole weekend of events on 13th and 14th November, as part of the Richmond 950 celebrations. On Sunday 14th November, between 11:00 and 12:30, our jazz band and choirs will be performing a selection of wartime music and songs. The students and staff are really looking forward to bringing some joy to the community. On Saturday 13th November, Jack Riddlestone, in Year 11, will be one of a number of local enactors who will be dressed up in 1940s outfits and manning a stall of wartime memorabilia for visitors to interact with.
Sophie Montgomery and Charlotte Porter, former students, are also key performers at the weekend with Sophie singing wartime songs from 10am-12pm on Saturday 13th November. Charlotte is looking forward her dance school performing The Station Master, at 7pm on 12th and 13th November at The Station Café bar, which will feature a number of our students.
You can find out more about all the events over the weekend HERE.
So, pack up your troubles and head to the Station this weekend, where we can’t wait to meet you again!
