STUDENT-LED FUN DANCE WORKSHOP FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS

12 December 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

Students from Evolution Dance Club ran a workshop for Years 5 and 6 students from Richmond Methodist Primary School and St Mary’s Primary School. The students, from Years 7 to 10, led small groups demonstrating short dance routines for the younger pupils to learn.  The workshop concluded with the Evolution students performing their impressively polished dance routine.

Miss Straub, Dance Teacher, said: “The Evolution Dance Club students did a fabulous job leading their inspiring workshop to the primary school students. They were natural teachers and the primary students were very attentive and were eager to learn parts of the piece they have been working on during Evolution club after school on a Friday – they loved having the opportunity to perform alongside them. The primary school students really enjoyed the experience of performing alongside our Evolution dancers and many stated they were looking forward to coming to Richmond School.”
