STRICTLY FAB-U-LOUS DANCING BY PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS!

19 December 2019  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

Schools from across the area were welcomed to Richmond School and taken straight onto the dance floor where a group of Year 12 CTEC Dance students led them in a fun, comprehensive warm up. The school dance groups then followed a rotation of activities for the rest of the morning which included a technical rehearsal on stage, a lecture demonstration from the Year 13 CTEC dancers and optional make-up class and a private rehearsal with a Year 12 coach, all before lunch!

Once lunch was out of the way, all of the schools joined together in the hall ready for the full dress rehearsal before parents and grandparents arrived for the final show. It was a fabulous celebration of dance which saw pupils from Years 1-6 taking part and pupils from Years 7-13 supporting the event and helping out. Congratulations to Richmond Methodist, Le Cateau, North and South Cowton and Trinity Academy Middleton Tyas for taking part and producing an outstanding performance, with specific awards going to the following schools;

  • Best choreography: Michael Syddall
  • Best performance/expressive qualities Hackforth and Hornby
  • Best team dynamics: Bolton on Swale
  • Best technical skill: Wavell
