SPORTS DAY 2023

Students in Years 7 and 8 recently took part in their annual Sports Day. We were *very* lucky with the weather, as the day turned out to be sunny and warm, with the rain returning the day afterwards.

There were a wide range of events, from traditional track and field, to sport specific skills based activities on the astroturf. The day culminated in the relays: first the 4 x 400m, then the 4 x 100m. 

Throughout the day the emphasis was on participation, with any student able to win points for their tutor group. There was also an emphasis on having fun, with Miss Abbey in charge of the music, and a number of staff coordinating mass participation dancing during La Macarena and YMCA!

PE staff have processed the results, which will be announced in the Aiming High assemblies at the end of term. Watch this space in September for the results, and photos of the winning tutor groups.
