Special end-of-term treat for children of key workers

Special thanks to Julie, community champion at Tesco, and Mr Birdsall for making the last day of term extra special for our students whose parents are key workers. Mr Birdsall approached Julie, as she has always been supportive of the school and he knows how much the store likes to help the local community. He was delighted when Julie donated some tasty cupcakes for the students.
Mr Birdsall said: “The key worker students have been extremely adaptable to the constant changing of the guidance. They have arrived every day throughout the school closure with smiles on their faces and they have worked so hard in school, having plentiful walks and playing lots of adaptable social-distancing sports. They also brought so much joy to elderly residents in the community when they created 150 Easter cards to distribute in local care homes.  A huge thank you to Julie and Tesco for their support.”  Mr Birdsall kindly added some ice lollies as an extra surprise!
