SIXTH FORM STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT CAREERS IN THE ROYAL AIR FORCE
We were delighted to welcome Flight Lieutenant Jim Tait from the RAF Recruitment and Engagement team to talk to a small group of Sixth Form students who are interested in a career in the RAF.
Jim gave the students an overview of his background and his long career with the RAF and then students were invited to ask questions They asked lots of great questions relating to all the different careers available, entry requirements including qualifications and medical conditions, the application process and next steps. Jim was able to answer all the questions, give the students some fantastic advice and offered further support, if needed.
Ruth Hamer, Careers Adviser commented: “It is always so valuable for students to have opportunities to meet employers face-to-face and to ask questions directly to them, and the visit from the RAF was no exception. We were so fortunate to have Jim here with us to provide such brilliant advice and support. We are looking forward to welcoming him back in November to talk to a group of Year 10 and Year 11 students.”
