SHOCK HORROR – HALF-PRICE TICKET OFFER!

05 October 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

There’s a not-to-be missed production coming to the Georgian Theatre Royal on Saturday, 15th October and students can see the show for half price!  This offer is available to students over 12 years old and brings the seat price down to just £8.

Shock Horror is a ghost story, with a ‘Woman in Black’ vibe, by multi-award-winning theatre company Thunder Road. The lead actor and producer is Alex Moran, who is a Richmond pantomime favourite. He played the Freddie Mercury-style genie in Aladdin and Lumiere in last year’s Beauty & the Beast. He will play a very different role in this one though!  The same theatre company came in 2019 with The Body Snatchers and they were excellent.

You can watch the trailer for the show here.

To book the half-price offer, students just need to mention the ‘school pupil price’ when booking tickets at the Georgian’s box office – please call 01748 825252 or email: foh@georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk  Please note that discount tickets can’t be booked online.

Herbert is a horror film fanatic. Raised in a cinema that screened only horror, hidden away by his deranged mother, Herbert develops a talent for making films of his own.

Returning to the derelict cinema he grew up in, he presents his best film yet… Shock Horror. But there are more than memories inside The Metropol cinema. What lurks behind the curtains? Or inside the walls itself?

This cutting-edge ghost story offers students a unique opportunity to evaluate a highly visual new horror show; the merging of live action, multimedia and original music to create an immersive, haunting theatrical experience.

Alex Moran (Producer) comments: “We noticed over the last few years that more and more young people were coming to see our shows. The Woman in Black has always been popular with teenagers, and Stranger Things has made a major impact recently. This show pays homage to both. Our spookiest, most eye-catching, emotional thrill-ride yet!”
