Running to fundraise for mental health

01 March 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

Last year, Sarah Manning, a Year 11 student, raised £363 for Mind, the charity that supports people who are experiencing problems with their mental health. Sarah ran a mile a day for 27 days and has decided to do the same again this year, from 1st March.

Sarah said: “This is the fourth time that Mind have run this challenge and after completing the event last year I want to continue to offer my support to the charity who are helping students struggling with their mental health.

“The weather was very unpredictable last March, with some really wet and freezing cold days, so at least this time I know what to expect! I am hoping to pursue a career in the healthcare sector and I am really concerned about the increase in mental health issues in young people and this is a way in which I can help whilst still at school.”

If you would like to support Sarah’s challenge, in aid of Mind, you can donate to her page HERE.
