Richmondshire Ravens Ladies Rugby Team 80km rowing challenge

If you are in Richmond on Sunday, then do look out for The Richmondshire Ravens who are doing a 80km rowing challenge in the Market Square to raise money for two charities that mean a lot to the team. The event is being spearheaded by one of their new members this season, Bertha Werrett.

There are 80 minutes in a rugby game so the team are aiming to row a whopping 80km on two machines, so 160km total, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The money raised will go towards research and it is hoped that the event will help spread some awareness too!
