RICHMOND SCHOOL EXCEL AT AREA CROSS-COUNTRY COMPETITION, NORTHALLERTON
One of the biggest events in the school cross country calendar took place recently at Northallerton School and Sixth Form College – the Area Cross Country competition.
Miss Spittlehouse and Ms Wright, who accompanied the students, provide this report:
“Last week we took 40 students to Northallerton to take part in the Area Cross Country competition.
Leading up to the event, we were very impressed by the number of students who wished to attend. In fact we had so many we had to draw names out of a hat.
We had fantastic weather and the students had a super attitude to taking part – they were impeccably behaved throughout the afternoon. Some students from the other schools ended up lost or poorly, or weren’t sure about their race times, so Richmond School students were helping out all over the track!
Thank you so much to the students for their enthusiasm and love of running.
A huge thank you to the PE department for their help in organising the students (and us!) to ensure we had a successful trip.”
