REVEALING OUR YEAR 11 LEAVERS’ VIDEO

We are delighted to reveal our Leavers’ video which you can enjoy here.

We have chosen Lizzo’s ‘About damn time’ this year.

After a difficult two years with the pandemic, political instability and other national and international issues, we wanted a song to act as a catharsis to the experiences we have all had. ‘About damn time’ allows us to reflect on anxieties and changes experienced during this extended period of time and how they have affected us.  Dealing with pressures and stress from our daily lives is a shared experience and Lizzo aims to unite us with her popular single- we really felt this song was the perfect choice.

We wanted the video to have an uplifting, comedic, sentimental feel and all staff involved in the filming have enjoyed doing something special for our Year 11 students, who we feel privileged to have worked with.

We would like to thank all the staff who have taken time out of their busy schedules to be involved in the making of this video. We have had so much fun filming the various sections and will treasure the ‘bloopers’ for years to come. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr Boulton-Lear, who has helped us with the filming and editing of the video, allowing us to bring our concept to life.

We wish our Year 11s the best of luck as they embark on their further education and we look forward to seeing most of them at Richmond School Sixth Form College.
