QUADKIDS ATHLETICS – PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS COMPETE IN FOUR EVENT COMPETITION

Richmondshire School Sport Partnership hosted the annual Quadkids Athletics competition recently. Many local schools brought pupils from Years 1-6 to compete in the three competitions that were on offer.
Each team consisted of 12 pupils and competitions were held for pupils in Years 1 and 2, 3 and 4 and 5 and 6.
Each pupil had 4 athletics events to carry out. These were as follows
Year 1 and 2 events:
50m sprint
300m run
Mini Vortex Howler throw
Standing long jump
Year 3 and 4 events
50m sprint
400m run
Mini Vortex Howler throw
Standing long jump
Year 5 and 6 events
75m sprint
600m run
Large Vortex Howler throw
Standing long jump
The event was led by Year 9 Sports Leaders from Richmond School who did a fantastic job of making it a highly competitive, fun and fair competition.
Well done to all pupils who took part in the competition and thank you to all the primary schools that attended.
