Primary students enjoy Disney Shooting Stars Festival

18 February 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

Richmond School and Sixth Form College have joined the National Girls Football in School Partnership. This partnership opens up new opportunities for CPD (Continuing Professional Development), leadership and competition.

One such opportunity led to us hosting a KS1 girls’ Disney Shooting Stars Festival to showcase the fabulous resources that each school receives once they sign up to the Disney CPD. The weather conditions were less than ideal with freak snow blizzards arriving early into the afternoon, but the pupils and student leaders were all amazing and still managed to have an exciting afternoon.

The event was led by Miss Johnson from the our PE department as she has been delivering free-of-charge football sessions in the primary schools to further showcase the Disney Shooting Stars resources.

Many thanks to all the schools that attended; Bolton on Swale, Croft, Hipswell, BAWB (Bainbridge, Askrigg and West Burton), Michael Syddall and Sacred Heart.

A special thanks to the Year 9 and 10 sports leaders who brought the Disney resources to life when delivering them; Ellie, Ellen, Gracie, Emma, Kyla, Jasmine, Katie, Sarah, Lara, Chloe, Jocelyn, Ella, Hannah, Elsa and Shannon.
