PRIMARY SCHOOLS ‘KEY STEPS’ GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

Richmondshire Sports Partnership hosted a Key Steps Gymnastics competition for pupils from Years 1-6 recently.
The competition, held in a slightly chilly Richmond School Sports Hall, allowed the gymnasts to perform a mix of skills-based routines and vaults to earn points for their school.
The event was judged by talented gymnasts from Years 8 and 9 under the guidance of Mrs Walker, gymnastics coach and science teacher, along with Molly Shanley, Year 13 student.
Four local schools took part. Each school brought multiple teams giving over 75 pupils the chance to compete. The top 3 results from each competition were as follows;
