PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS ‘TRY’ GOLF AT RICHMOND SCHOOL

28 September 2023  |  Sven Wardle  |  Posted in: , ,

Richmond School recently hosted a Tri-Golf festival for pupils in years 3 and 4.

Tri-golf is a fun, alternative version of golf. It’s a more energetic version of the game designed specifically to give primary school pupils a good introduction to the sport.

The event was run by Sports Leaders from Year 10 at Richmond School. It was a wet and windy day which made the golf games even more challenging but the pupils from Barton, Michael Syddall, Ravensworth, Richmond Methodist and St Mary’s Richmond Primary Schools all achieved great success despite the weather.

All pupils took part in eight skilled golf games and earned points for their team. They received points not only for their skill level but also for their ‘Skills for Life’ which included qualities such as teamwork, determination and listening skills.

Well done to everyone who came out on such a blustery day, thank you to to the Year 10 Sports Leaders for running the activities and thanks also to Mrs. Carruthers for organising the event.
