Just before Easter, Richmond School hosted a gymnastics competition for primary school pupils.
Pupils from Years 1-6 from Bolton on Swale, Brompton, Croft, Michael Syddall and Richmond Methodist schools all took part. The pupils took part in a floor routine, body management routine and vault performance to earn points for their teams.
The competition was officiated by Ms Walker and her team of student judges who ensured all pupils had a fun but fair competition.
Many thanks to the student judges who not only ran the main competition but also travelled to Richmond Methodist Primary School on a separate date to judge their gymnasts as they were unable to attend on the date of the competition. These students were Natalie Muxworthy, Bethany Wilkinson, Molly Shanley, Lili Soley and Alice Cowton.
The results were as follows;
Year 1 and 2:
- 1st – Brompton 1 and Richmond Methodist
- 2nd – Croft
- 3rd – Brompton 2
Year 3 and 4:
- 1st – Brompton 1
- 2nd – Bolton and Richmond Methodist
- 3rd – Brompton 2
Year 5 and 6:
- 1st – Bolton and Richmond Methodist
- 2nd – Michael Syddall
- 3rd – Brompton
