Richmond School recently hosted a Dynamos Cricket competition for pupils in Years 3 and 4 from a number of local primary schools.
The weather was finally reasonable for playing cricket and the games took place within a number of separately marked boundary lines on the lower fields at Richmond School. Pupils enjoyed the almost summery conditions as they played and also as they waited for their next game or had lunch. Girls and boys teams competed in separate competitions with the top two teams qualifying for the Area Final on Thursday 6th June.
The games were officiated by a team of Sports Leaders from Richmond School ranging from Year 8 to 10.
Thank you to the following schools for supporting the event: Bolton, Brompton, Michael Syddall, Ravensworth, Richmond Methodist, Richmond St Mary’s, Trinity Academy, Middleton Tyas and Trinity Academy Richmond.
The following schools qualified for the Area Final:
Girls competition – Brompton and Michael Syddall
Boys competition – Brompton and Richmond St Mary’s
