opportunity to join Darlington RFC’S new U13 girls team

04 February 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

If a fun new challenge is on the to do list for the New Year the newly formed Darlington RFC U13 girls team is looking for new members – this fledgling squad is growing week by week and everyone at the club is committed to helping this new group flourish.

Dan Miller, Director of Rugby at Darlington RFC is passionate about developing the girls sector at Blackwell Meadows and said: “As a club, we have long held successful minis sections and a ladies team however it is the gap in the middle which has been the missing part of our jigsaw.  The formation of this new team allows us to further develop the future of the ladies’ game – supported by long-standing coaches and players from within our club.  All coaches hold all of the necessary qualifications to protect and mentor the development of those taking part.”

Training sessions for the girls’ squad (from Year 7) run at Blackwell Meadows every Sunday at 12:30pm and Tuesdays 6-7pm – everyone is welcome regardless of experience.
