OFFER TO LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS TO CELEBRATE WORLD BOOK DAY AT THORP PERROW

10 February 2023  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

To celebrate World Book Day’s LIFESIZE CREEPY CRAWLIES, Thorpe Perrow are offering a FREE group session for schools in their Education Garden. It’s suitable for EYFS, Y1 (some children in Y2 may also benefit) and SEN.

Classes, Teachers and TAs are invited to spend an hour measuring the bugs in Sophy Henn’s LIFESIZE book against Meganeuropsis – the world’s largest ever flying insect (now extinct – thankfully!).

Workshop runs:

  • Tuesday 28th February – Thursday 2nd March
  • 1 hour slots from 10am – 2pm
  • FREE ENTRY to the Arboretum

Thorp Perrow will provide the worksheets, tape measures and pencils, primary schools just need to bring enthusiastic children. Students and their teachers can also have a walk/picnic/chat/admire the trees in the Arboretum for free too!

Please email enquiries@thorpperrow.com to book a slot (1 hour) from Tuesday 28th February to Thursday 2nd March, any time between 10am and 2pm.
