NEW PRIMARY MINI-BASKETBALL EVENT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

25 November 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: , ,

The introduction of a brand-new event to the Richmondshire Sports Partnership was a huge hit with the young players. We were delighted to host a mini-basketball tournament for Years 3 and 4 students in the morning and Years 5 and 6 in the afternoon. Teams from Brompton-on-Swale, Bolton-on-Swale, Michael Syddall, Sacred Heart, Trinity Academy Richmond and Trinity Academy Middleton Tyas attended. Year 12 students studying CTEC Sport took charge of the event and led all aspects from registering the schools, coaching the pupils and officiating the games.

The event was incredibly successful as commented on by Mr Firmin from Brompton-on-Swale Primary School, who said: “A big thank you to the staff and students at Richmond School and Sixth Form College for what was a great event. A special mention to the older students who organised and led today. They were very patient, supportive and kind to the children which made their experience all the more enjoyable.”
