NATIONAL GERMAN WEEK 17TH – 21ST MARCH
This year marks the first time National German Week has been celebrated in the UK.
As one of only 12 PASCH* schools in the country, part of a global network of schools whose aim is to awaken interest and enthusiasm for German and Germany today, Richmond School is determined to give National German Week the attention it deserves, promoting awareness of languages, Europe and cultural diversity in the process.
*The term PASCH means “Schools: Partners for the Future”
There are a number of activities and events going on at Richmond School to promote the week, including German themed food in the restaurant, a poster exhibition of German cities in the library, a music workshop for Year 7 students and a ‘Landmark Competition’ open to all students in Years 7 – 11.
The images that go with this article show details of the ‘Landmark Competition’. We very much look forward to seeing the entries and will be sure to share them with you here – watch this space!
