Mr Boyd takes part in a fabulous Music Teachers Virtual Orchestra

Mr Boyd, our Lead Teacher for Music, has performed in a Music Teachers Virtual Orchestra that made the ITV and BBC news! Mr Boyd was one of 70 Music teachers from around the UK, and as far afield as Thailand, invited to take part in this impressive online performance.

The Orchestra was the brainchild of Joe Austin, Head of Music at the Prior School in Shrewsbury, who created the orchestra to set an example to his students, showing how doing something creative with music helps wellbeing.

Performing Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’, the teachers were sent their separate parts to play and sing, which they recorded at home with a click track and then sent to Joe to be mixed and created.
