MEET PETE – OCUPATIONAL THERAPIST IN THE WELLBEING IN MIND TEAM

25 May 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in:

I am very much looking forward to joining the team and working alongside staff and students in local schools. I am passionate about supporting young people to manage their mental health through meaningful activity.

I have worked in adult mental health for most of my working life, initially in the voluntary sector before training as an Occupational Therapist. Since then I have worked in the NHS, supporting adults with a wide range of mental health conditions. I have worked with young people transitioning from CAMHS into adult mental health services. This includes working closely with parents/carers who play a pivotal role in supporting their loved ones.

I am married and have twin boys who keep us both very busy! We enjoy camping as a family and love the outdoors and keeping active. My interests include sport, primarily football, and I have supported Leeds Utd since I was a young boy … don’t hold it against me! I enjoy a wide range of music and love going to gigs and festivals.

In my spare time, I am an FA qualified grassroots football coach and work with children from 4 – 11 years old. It is very rewarding to see children progress in their development whilst having fun learning to play. I also play 5-a-side football every week which supports my own physical and mental health.
