Meet Nicola – senior clinician in the Wellbeing in Mind Team
I’m Nicola and I’m a Senior Clinician in the Hambleton and Richmondshire team. I spent 10 years teaching in secondary schools and sixth form colleges before retraining to be a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner in 2019. I worked in CAMHS for 3 years before starting in my current role with the WiMT and have lots of experience supporting children and young people with their mental health.
I love travelling and have been lucky enough to see lots of different countries and experience lots of different cultures along the way. Before the pandemic I trained as an open water scuba diver and I was lucky enough to scuba dive in Cuba last year. One of my favourite places to visit is Orlando in Florida as I love visiting the theme parks. I also love to go for long walks in the countryside as it helps keep me fit while also supporting my mental health and wellbeing.
