Magical moment as Josh scores to take Middlesbrough to FA quarter finals

What a game! Josh Coburn, alumnus, scored the goal of his career last night, sealing Middlebrough’s place in the FA Cup quarter finals. You can watch Josh’s fabulous goal from 55 seconds HERE.

Combining energy, vision, composure and skill, Josh scored in extra time against Tottenham Hotspur – a magical night and an amazing achievement for 19-year-old Josh.

Craig Liddle, Academy Manager at Middlesbrough Football Club, said: “We are all absolutely chuffed to bits for Josh and the rest of the young players in the team. Josh is everything we would want from an Academy graduate.”

We are incredibly proud of Josh and how far he has come since joining Middlebrough’s Football Academy in 2019 and we can’t wait to see him in action again.
