Richmond School Sports Partnership hosted an inter-school NERF festival recently.
The event was supported by Lizzie Patterson from Active Future, an organisation set up to increase the participation of young people in sport and movement activities.
Twelve local primary schools attended the event which aimed to engage young people who do not already take part in traditional sports such as football or netball.
The festival was a huge success! All 120 pupils that attended left exhausted due to the amount of exercise they had completed with huge smiles on their faces while playing the wide variety of NERF blaster games.
The top two schools, Michael Syddall and Richmond St Mary’s primary school now qualify for the county finals later in the year.
