KIERAN SELECTED FOR ENGLAND’S RUGBY DEVELOPING PLAYER PROGRAMME

20 May 2022  |  Jill Lundberg  |  Posted in: ,

Although the rugby season has come to an end for most players, some are competing at county level through the England Rugby Developing Player Programme (ERDPP).  ERDPP is a pathway that is a partnership between the RFU, Durham County and Newcastle Falcons. It’s aim is to work with the top 10% of players within Durham to provide them with the opportunity to progress as far as they possibly can within their rugby and for them to be the best that they can be as a player and a person.

Kieran Knights, in Year 10 is one of these players. He recently represented the South Durham Spartans in an Inter-County tournament. The team played two games, winning one comfortably and losing the other by a very narrow margin.

Kieran is looking forward to playing two more games, the final one will be played at Kingston Park, home to Newcastle Falcons.

Kieran has had great 2021-22 season, playing for Darlington RFC’s Under 15s team and he wholly deserves this great opportunity.
