More and more students are applying for careers in nursing and the caring professions. Numbers are up by a third this year – with 60,000 applying to study nursing, according to the university admissions service UCAS. For any students interested in a career in health there is a wealth of information on The WOW Show website with a health careers special HERE to help them. This looks in detail at 14 careers as Allied Health Professionals; and their National Careers Week Special features staff at The Christie NHS Foundation HERE
There are also specialist Careers Guides on Therapeutic Radiography and Podiatry HERE

Ruth May, the chief nursing officer for NHS England, said: “During COVID the level of interest in working for the NHS has trumped lots of other career options and that speaks volumes about how people recognise our profession.”

We hope these free resources will help and inspire our students
