The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to joint winners this week, Philippa Kind and Phoebe Jones, for their incredible project work on the Suffragettes. Philippa and Phoebe were nominated by Mrs Copland, History Teacher. Mrs Copland said: “I would like to nominate Philippa for the Headteacher’s Values Award. She has completed the most fantastic project on the Suffragettes this week, which has demonstrated a number of our school values. Philippa has worked very creatively, going above and beyond by creating – not only a very detailed project that was beautifully presented, thoroughly researched and well written – but also a spectacular Lego scene showing a Suffragette march. This too shows great levels of independence and excellence. Philippa is one of those students who demonstrates many of our school values in everything she does at school, and should be recognised for this – especially as this project goes one step further, and certainly proved inspiring to the rest of the group. Well done Philippa.  "Phoebe is a thoroughly hard working and brilliant student, and she has demonstrated this particularly well this week, alongside several of our school values. Phoebe has produced a triumph of a Suffragette project that is exceptionally creative, and shows real independence, as well as striving for complete excellence. Phoebe’s project is totally different to those produced by all of her peers. Phoebe thought very creatively, and produced a project centred around a Suffragette magazine, complemented by wonderfully written letters. The research that has gone into this project is considerable, and to hand in such a unique piece of work shows genuine independence. Phoebe’s work has been finished to a meticulous standard, and is truly excellent. Reading Phoebe’s work was a real joy, and she should be applauded for her fantastic effort. Well done, Phoebe!"
