The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Nathan Morgan, Year 10, who was nominated by Mrs Macy for his exceptional contribution to the Life Course, run by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. This followed feedback from Alyson Down, at the Fire and Rescue Service who said: “Nathan was an absolute pleasure to have on the course.  He was polite, enthusiastic and energetic.  He managed remarkably well to balance the line that is so hard for young people to find. He managed to be friendly and fit in with the wider group without getting drawn into negative behaviours or attitudes sometimes demonstrated by some of the stronger characters on the course.  “He was very attentive to instruction and applied himself to all the tasks presented to him, usually with a smile on his face. He was also supportive of his teammates and would often go and help others to complete tasks if it looked as if someone was struggling.”
