Headteacher’s Values Award winner: Florence Hall

The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Florence Hall, Year 11 student. Florence was nominated by Mrs Weston who said: “Florence’s performance in English throughout years 10 and 11 has been nothing short of exceptional.  Florence, who is passionate about literature and an avid reader, is an absolute joy to teach.  Her creative writing is absolutely stunning, always a pleasure to read and often filled with fascinating imagery and interesting vocabulary. In her English Language PPE Florence barely dropped a mark and I struggle to find fault with her work.  Florence completes very single homework on time and to the best of her ability.

“In addition to her school work and revision, Florence is working her way through some of the classics in her own time, having recently read ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’ and ‘Frankenstein’.  Florence is a fiercely intelligent young person who always has some brilliant insight to contribute to our class discussion.

Florence has also contributed to the wider life of the school by being a reliable and valued member of the student leadership team.”
