Headteacher’s CREDIT Values Award Winner.
The Headteacher’s CREDIT Values Award was presented to Tabitha, in Year 11.
Tabitha was nominated by Miss Weston wrote: “At the end of last term, I set my Year 10 class the challenge of producing a 10-shot summary of ‘Macbeth’. They had to create all of the backgrounds and props for each scene, and could use Jelly Babies or Lego figures for the characters. This is a task that we use to help students consolidate their understanding of the plot, but also to make them realise that Shakespeare is a rich source of creativity – and, hopefully, fun!
“The students always enjoy this challenge and have created some memorable versions of the play over the years. Tabitha, though, went the extra mile, producing an animated version of the play. It must have taken a huge amount of time to produce, and a LOT of patience. Despite the gory subject matter, it charmed us all, and absolutely demonstrated the values of creativity, independence and determination. Well done Tabitha.”
