Headteacher’s Values Award Winner

The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Jake Rogers, in Year 7.

Jake was nominated by Mr Birdsall, who wrote: “I would like to nominate Jake Rogers for Excellence and Resilience. Jake isn’t a usual member of Richmond School Theatre Group, however in my time of need, when a student with the main part couldn’t perform in the show at the Georgian Theatre, Jake, on the day before, kindly volunteered to read and perform this part to a paying audience of 80+ people.

“Jake spent the day at the theatre with us rehearsing all day, having never seen the play. He has worked tremendously hard to learn lines and memorise four months of rehearsals in one day. I am super proud of what Jake offered to do, having never done this before. I know that I and the rest of the cast were impressed with his efforts and really appreciated him getting us out of such a tricky situation. It has been a pleasure having Jake along with us and having him perform on stage for Richmond School.”
