The Headteacher’s Values Award was presented to Ellis Hepper, in Year 10. Ellis was nominated by Mr Birdsall, who said: “Ellis has been a HUGE help for the Performing Arts department this term. We always struggle with the technical elements of shows, Aiming High assemblies and examinations etc and I really needed someone to step up to the mark and take the reins. Ellis has most certainly done this. He has shown huge amounts of Excellence, Teamwork and Respect, which I greatly appreciate.

“Ellis has alleviated our workload by splitting the Year 11 and Year 12 cohort and working with the exam groups on their lighting. I know that his lighting knowledge is highly appreciated by both the Dance and Drama GCSE and A-Level students. Ellis has given up his four of his evenings this week alone and even his break times, to facilitate rehearsals and work with our examination students to rig, plot and program their lighting for their examination performances. Ellis has worked closely with these students and has done so in an extremely professional manner, having to adapt to their constant lighting and technical needs.

“Ellis is a real asset to the department and I would be lost without him during this examination time. I know the students have also spoken to Ellis to praise and thank him for the support and the time he has given them.”
